Prince of Persia Rival Sword Review |
|

Aside from being a great portable translation of Two Thrones, Rival Swords packs several worthwhile additions that sweeten the deal.
The Good: Action adventure elements remain top-notch; smooth, intuitive transitions between platforming, fighting, and narrating; impressive graphics considering portable format and scope of environments; bonus content legitimately contributes to the package.
The Bad: Disproportionate difficulty on new areas; fairly frequent sound hiccups.
In the same way that Ubisoft converted Prince of Persia: Warrior Within to Prince of Persia Revelations for the PlayStation Portable, so too has it released an updated version of Two Thrones for the Wii and PSP with Prince of Persia Rival Swords. The Prince's last foray on the PSP... [Read More]

Annual rehashes might sound like a page out of EA's business model, but in truth the largest video game publisher in the world is only really guilty of doing so with its sports games, which more often than not appeal to a huge audience of casual gamers. Namco, a Japanese company with quite a pedigree, is one of the most respected developers amongst so called 'hardcore' gamers, but it seems even they can't turn down a simple opportunity for a rehash and some easy money. Ridge Racer 2 for the PSP is the sequel to the stunning PSP launch title, but it's one of the... [Read More]

The new PSP racing games are becoming more and more successful, and although Moto GP is exactly what it says in its title, there isn’t much else to the game. Moto GP is by far and a way not an arcade racer. Instead you’ll be experimenting and analysing changes to the telemetry of your bike for optimum performance on each race circuit. All of the riders from the 2006 season are available to choose from,... [Read More]

So, the 2006 F1 season actually did bring some excitement, competition and a few raised eye brows this year: Kimi seemed to retire almost every other race, the new qualifying routine brightened up our Saturday F1, Michael retired, and Fernando did eventually take revenge from Schumy’s dirty work back in Monaco by pinching the world title. So I think Sony made a wonderful and wise decision to... [Read More]

First off, I ought to point out that this isn’t the usual Sims game we’ve been playing for many years now. Of course we’re still in full control of our characters, and have to repeatedly do all of those tedious but fun things to keep them... [Read More]

Tekken 2 Review |
Feb 03, 2007 - 1:48 PM - by psphome

It's been a year since Kazuya threw his father, Heihachi, off the same cliff he himself plummeted down at the age of five. That little anniversary means that it's just about time for another "King of Iron Fist" Tournament and the world's strongest combatants have assembled to participate. Thus begins Tekken 2, one of the greatest 3D fighters of all time and, unfortunately for handheld owners, one of the more disappointing PS One-to-PSP ports yet available.
Longtime fans of the series may be asking how a game with Tekken 2's pedigree could disappoint like that, especially since it's the exact same experience we played on the original PlayStation. The simple... [Read More]
