Firmware 3.10 OE is a custom firmware. This only works on a 2.71 PSP not a 2.81. If you want to downgrade your 2.81 PSP to custom firmware, you have to follow this tutorial: [Tutorial] Downgrading a v3.03 PSP to v1.50/v3.03 OE

NOTE: you need to upgrade to 3.03 to downgrade to 1.50, then to 3.10 OE. You also need the un-patched version of GTA: LCS to perform the downgrade. All instructions are all in the tutorial.

Helppppppp......

I have downgrade my T-082 2.71 to 1.50, all done 100%, but when I restart wby pressing X button my PSP is blank, only green power on....Is it Bricking..????

Take the battery out, wait a minute, put it back in and try turning it on again.

If all you get is a black screen, the green light and then it turns off by itself, then yes it sounds like it is bricked.

the screen still black but power still on in green light....

Turn on your PSP and press the screen brightness button, this is a very common problem among downgraded PSPs...

If your firmware is >2.80, you need a copy of GTA:LCS unpatched (original version). If you have that game, there is a downgrader that works with it and firmware 3.03. You can find a link for it on Dark_AleX's web page here.

Note: if you follow the guide in this thread for downgrading a TA-082, you might have noticed that the USB connection doesn't show as a PSP anymore, and USBHOSTFS doesn't work anymore. This is because the 2.71 IdStorageChanger app changed more keys than were necessary to get 1.50 to run. You can "fix" these keys with an application I did based on original code from Stapol and others, and info from the lan.sh forums.

First, you need a key 0x0043 from a non-downgraded TA-082. You can use the kxploited mapIDv3 found here to dump the keys on a non-downgraded PSP (using something like HEND).

Once you have the key, make a directory in the GAME150 directory of the downgraded PSP, and place the EBOOT.PBP from the idreset-v7.zip arc included here in it. Copy the 0x0043.bin file from the mapIDS directory to this directory and rename it 043.bin.

Then run idreset. It will tell what it thinks the status of the PSP keys are, and if they need fixing, it will ask you to press X to fix them. It allows you the option of exiting without changing the PSP idstorage keys, so you don't have to worry on that account. It does nothing without asking first.

You'll find a long thread on the matter here. I suggest people read the thread before attempting to fix their keys.

ok so im trying to get mine to 1.50 from 2.71 and it is the dreaded TA-082 i got everything going but when i go to photos to try to do it it always freezes ive tried it like 10 time do i have to leave it there for a while or does it happen preety quickly and you said it would say that HEND is running will it say just that like after it says what softwere your running will it have a thing that says HEND or what.ok well i keep tring it and it keeps freezing and is it sopposded to say HEN-D or just HEND like mine does and when i go to HEND there just a pictures with a bunch of what looks like dots thats named RAND and another picture that never gets time to load becouse it freezes. also after i get this to work can i just but what ever game file im trying to play into the game folder turn on psp and play it

So, you've followed the steps up to this point:

"Blue screen + Green screen + Automatic restart = Successful
Blue screen + Red screen = Unsuccessful
PSP crashed/froze = Unsuccessful"

But are continually having the PSP crash/freeze without seeing any color on the screen first? It may take more than 10 tries before you have success.

The best thing to do, assuming your PSP is definitely running firmware 2.71 would be to try formatting your memory stick and copying the downgrader files over again then trying it once more.

To check if HEN-D has been installed, you need to turn on your PSP, go all the way to the left in the menu, then down to 'system settings' and press x, then down to 'system information' then press X.
Under the heading 'System software' you should see '2.71 HEN' or something that mentions 'HEN', that means it worked and you can continue with the downgrading process.

Ok sorry about long post ill try that.Might be the problem becouse ive started it and tried again probly 50 time know. when i click on the HEND the screen is sopposed to go blue+green+restart is that right is it sopposed to stop for a sec or does it happen as soon as i press it.

ok well most the time it freezes and soemtimes it will just treat it like a regular photo and i can set there and look at but when i go to seetings to see if im running HEND, then it goes into a never ending loading were the thing at the bottom of the screen shows up.Ill keep trying thogh just thought id tell you how its going.

Evolve may be able to provide better help than I can.

I know with the tiff image based exploits, sometimes you have to delete and re-copy the file to your memory stick to get it to work, the exploit is rather touchy.

Did you try formatting your memory stick and trying again?

Yes thats what i did when he said to recopy the file.

Also something that might be a point of intrest it dint start very rarly just looking at it like a normal picture untilli formated it.

Another thing did he want me to format it using the psp or the computer I hadnet formated it before so i used the psp.
Or it could be that it just did that becouse I redowloeded it and like you said its touchy so ill try that again.Thanks for all the help

ok well its steal not working and all im doing this for anyways is so i can play other games on the psp. like final fantasy tactics advanced using saves of the internet. do i have to down grade for that or is there some other way to do it.

I hv exactly the same problem..After 100% i press X and my PSP get dark..with the green light on..I had try adjust my brightness but still dark..So what else can i do? Or is it brick?? And if it do brick..Wat can i do? I dun even play my psp yet..Straight away downgrade it after buy..buying two games juz now and it is still inside the bag..aaahhhh damn..tension..

Can you get into recovery mode? Did you install custom firmware yet?
Try holding the R button when turning on your PSP.

Nope..I havent install any custom firmware..I am following ur guide and downgrading it frm 2.71 into 1.50..after running x.yz..it does say finish and ask me press x to restart..

and after that..the screen remain black till now..i can turn on..and turn off my psp normally..juz the screen remain dark..it is 3am in ausie now n i juz cant sleep becuz of it..help me~~

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your PSP is bricked. All you can do is send it back to Sony, or try to return it for a new one if it's still under warranty. There is really nothing you can do now to recover it ;(

Erm its not for me to not give up accepting my psp is brick..but juz wana make sure..becuz ppl said what will happen with bricked psp is that, when we turn it on..the screen appear black and then it will turn off by itself..but mine is not like tat..i open it..the screen remain black..and it will remaining on if i dont turn it off manually..does this consider brick as well??

Erm i know this is my bad..I try to downgrading my psp of version 2.71 to 1.50..the thing is that i had run the generic downgrader "X.YZ" before i run the IDstorage..

But what happen to my psp is exacly the same as apexiology..Now my psp can be on but the screen remains dark and not off unless i turn it off manually..Is it brick? Or is there any chance of running the IDstorage in my psp now??

I know it is my mistake..what a bad experience on easter..pls help me if anyone know what to do
