Hello, I have bought a psp, and a 2gig memory card, Socom: Fireteam Bravo, The Sims 2, and The Con.

I have downloaded PSP Video 9 and it works well with my psp.

I am curious if I could get any information from here about Emulators & Other information for tweaking a psp.

i have done a little of looking into this; but i am a little out of formula to get these programs i have downloaded... one was a mario bros type of thing and another a tetris. im just begining and would like to learn the basics to my psp. conscience7gates@yahoo.com

What firmware version is your psp currently running?

im buying a new PSP today that is running firmware 1.50, I will be writing a few tutorials on emulators so make sure you check back

^^ can you still buy NEW psp`s with a firmware that low ??
if so how much and where from? i`d like a second unit to mess around with all this hbrew etc, im a little apprehensive on trying to downgrade my current unit tbh, i just know it will go wrong for me if i try, its my luck, believe me, if i entered a prize draw with 99 prizes and 100 people entered, i would be the sucker that walks away with nothing !! lololls

check ebay, lots of new ones on firmware 1.50

A lot of online stores are selling firmware 2.71 psps, which are brand new and easily downgradable to 1.5.
If you bother to read the readme files that come with downgraders or just browse their release threads on other sites you will have no issue in downgrading a 2.71 psp. Ive downgraded mine from 2.0 and several mates psp's of varying firmwares via the 2.71 generic downgrader without any trouble.
Most of those who have issues are 12 year olds who just do things without reading or even having a basic understanding of computers.

i have downloaded this.

i have version 3.02, or .01 i dont know my battery is dead.

i cannot play most of the games... i think i can only play 4 or something.

i have not tried using it in a wi-fi connected area.
