Help needed

I bought my son a PSP for christmas only trouble is he went to download new upgrade as asked then lost everything now cant even turn it on.

Was wondering if theres any way of rebooting system or will it have to go back to shop

your help would be appricated many thanks

Try taking the battery out and putting it back in, if the psp screen stays blank when you turn it on, the green LED flashes then the system turns off, you have a bricked psp. You will need to take it back to the store and thell them what happened.

The only way I can think of an official update would brick a psp is if the battery power is too low (I thaught updates just wouldnt run if the power was below a certain level however) or he took the battery out during the update.

I'm on firmware 1.5, havnt done a lot of updating myself

oh dear, sorry to hear thats happened. Try taking the battery out and leave for an hour or so

Ithink he needs to leave it on charge for a long time as when i took my psp out oof the box i wanted to play straight away but the battery was fat the led blinked green twice then went off i took out the battery and plugged it into the mains try that
