| haw: No idea, its not somthing you can really predict. Most of the current downgraders work by gaining full access to the psp's hardware through exploits (taking advantage of security flaws) in the psp's picture viewer.
When a new downgrader comes out, sony patch the flaw it used to work and release a new firmware update. This means people working on downgraders have to look for a new way to gain access and force the unit to accept a lower firmware.
The most recent flaw that lead to the 2.71/2.80 downgraders was actually discovered by someone on a pc looking through a library (collection of code) to do with viewing .gif images, this was then applied to the psp's photo viewer and found to work.
So you can see its not really a 'it'll take X number of weeks to get it working' but more of a 'hopefully one day soon some smart guy will find a new exploit that is present in the latest firmware'.
The best and really only thing you can do is be patient and not update any further. |
