srry, there is no 3.30 downgrader rite now
you will have to wait for one, and trade it in for a lower one

if you do wait, don't upgrade anymore

It could be tomorrow, it could be never.

Its not like a race with a set start and finish point, and you know how fast you can run.

Its a combination of people spending a lot of time looking for and testing possible exploits, and some luck that sony has missed another flaw that could allow a downgrader to run.

All we can do is wait and hope.

A mod-chip is probably what you need. There's a new one coming out the 16th that works on all PSPs and can flash the BIOS over the USB, so it should be fairly easy to downgrade regardless of the fw on the PSP.

I plan to get one myself. I do some fw hacking, and the chances I may brick are always there. I really need one.

hold the phone! Let me get this straight...

What you mean is that, no matter what firmware I'm running on my PSP, with this mod-chip I could downgrade it even to firmware 1.50????

If I'm wrong, please let me know 'cause now I'm too damn excited and I don't want to rise my hopes up!

Omg!!
I Could See Where This Is Coming From Though As It Would Be Easy To Just Delete All Of The Files In The Flash Memory Of The Old Psp Thing And Copy Over New Ones

Trent: You are correct. When we say there is no downgrader for any firmware above 3.03 we mean software based downgraders that require a 'security flaw' to be found in the firmware you want to downgrade. They require no additional hardware though.

A modchip can be installed onto any (the old PSP modchip didnt work on TA-82 PSPs but apparently there is a new one coming that does) PSP and can then downgrade it no matter what firmware it is running.
Assuming the thing works as they say it does that it

Thats because the modchip is wired directly onto the connections between the PSPs flash memory that stores the firmware and the processors that run the stored information.
You essentially have 2 lots of storage space for the firmware instead of one.

You could install 1.50 on the modchips flash space and boot from that, keeping the actual PSPs original storage with 3.30 on it.

Or you could use the modchip to write whatever version of firmware you want straight to the PSPs original storage to 'downgrade' it.

The chips normally arent that cheap and you will need to be, or know someone who is, good at soldering very small connections.

As dark_alex has shown it is possible to brick a modchipped PSP still though.

Awesome!

I must find this mod-chip as soon as it resleased....

Isn't there a "diagram" or a picture specifiyng where does this mod-chip should be placed?? I'm kinda good at soldering, especially SMT components so I guess that wouldn't be a problem... ...the problem would be where to place it!..

One last and dull question:

¿Is there a way to get it from an internet site? (eBay, etc, etc) or there's only one specific store ?? 'Cause I don't think I 'll be able to find it in my third-world-country ...
