Question about Firmwares

Can someone explain to me what the heck are ISO's and OEA's? (is that what it's called? OEA?)

Thanks

An ISO image (.iso) is a term for a disk image and is refered to any optical disc image. Basically its data files and all the filesystem metadata, (boot code, structures, and attributes) of a CD contained in a single file. Such as a PSP UMD in one file, or a PC game in one file.

OEA is a revision of a custom firmware made by Dark_AleX. If you want custom firmware, you need 1.50 firmware and on that you can play PSP ISO's.

I suggest that you do some more research on your own if you would like to know more about this

When there is the same firmware number, then OE, then a letter, the letter is just the revision number.

Newer versions Dark_Alex has released to fix bugs/add something, but still based on the same sony firmware (ie 3.03).

DO NOT update any further.

To downgrade and get homebrew access back, you will need to downgrade back to 1.5.

To do this you will need a copy of the original (unpatched) release of GTA: Liberty City Stories (the one with firmware 2.0 on the UMD).
Using this you can downgrade by following THIS Guide.
