i cant tell if its stuck or dead pixel...

There's these like 3 or 4 spots or blurs on the screen that popped up out of nowhere.I dont know if they are stuck or dead?It only shows in like lighted areas when the screen is lighter which sucks.it doesent show on a black screen.Kinda looks like when u get a little water on it on accident but it doesent come off!anyone have an idea?

Can you see individual pixels that are not changing, or small areas?

Im guessing individual pixels, just sounded like it might have been more than just individual dots.

Generally, a dead pixel means it stays black, a stuck pixel will be constantly either red green or blue.

You say these areas are lighter than they should be, yet the problem does not show when the screen is displaying something thats black in those areas.

I don't know what to think, is it possible its a tiny chip in the plastic covering the screen rather than the LCD itself?

I guess you could try a stuck pixel fixer, although their effectiveness always seem to be in debate.

One of my games loads with a black background screen. On the left hand side of the LCD there are 3 pixels which are always white. However, because they're only 3 and so tiny, I can never notice them during gameplay or even if I put a picture up on screen and take a close look. Maybe it's something to do with the game.

I suggest you open up your PSP and clean the screen thoroughly. I think it may be dust under the screen...

Usually dead pixels show up bright on black screens. And dust show's up on brght screens.

Be really careful if your going to open the PSP, you can easily end up letting in a lot of dust underneath the screen.

Do it in the least dusty place you can think of, and a can of compressed air (can buy it from computer stores) to give it a blast before closing the unit again would be a good idea.
