Hi Darkvamp, welcome to the site.

I would really recommend you read up on what your PSP can do before you update its firmware.

Homebrew is non-official software and can allow the PSP to do all sorts of things like running games from other systems (SNES, Genesis, GBA etc). If you update to firmware 3.10 or above you will not be able to do any of these things.
