LOL: Amazon say SNES is Outselling PS3

Now here's a good laugh, the SNES is ranked over three times higher than the PS3 in the Amazon game sales charts. The SNES weighs in at rank 15, while the PS3 occupies rank 51.

michaelp: They are great because many like myself grew up with the things.
Theres not really much in the way of homebrew for them and the flash carts to play roms are rare and would cost more than buying the games you want legit.
The games used to be so cheap (when it was old, but not 'retro'), theyre harder to come by these days.

The contollers were easy to hack up to a parallel port on a PC too (back when PCs still had them that is).

Worst thing about them, battery backup packing up. Mario allstars is probably the worst for this for some reason.

Emulation will keep them alive forever though.

Just play snes on your PSP if you really like old-school game and systems

Xbox is my favorite for emulation I think, PSP is awsome for portable emulation obviously though. A mate has a GP2X which does have superior emulators for some systems but the screen, dpad etc just dont make the grade.
No GTA either

Xbox has perfect SNES, Genesis etc emulation on the big screen. Pretty good N64 emulation also.
Xbox Media Center is amazing too, everyone should have a modded xbox.
