I just bought...

... God of War for PS2 and Fahrenheit for Xbox last night. A friend recommended God of War to me and i finally managed to get a new one in its original cover for a decent price. Fahrenheit's not the type of game i would normally buy, but it apparently had some great reviews, and it was £6.

Has anyone else played this? What am i letting myself in for?

Never played Fahrenheit but God of War is the best action game you'll ever play on the PS2, I still play it, beaten it about 10 times by now.

Thanks. Yeah i heard God of War did really well. My friend loved it so much that i got him to write a review for it. But i could only find it with Platinum covers before and, everyone will tell you, i hate platinum covers. Original ones are so much better. And that's also the reason why i haven't bought Kingdom Hearts 1 yet.

I know. But i'm not buying it until i can get one in its original cover, or get a promo copy of it.

No one played Fahrenheit then?

They still have those platinum hits covers? I bought Jak II a few years ago when it was a platinum hit and when i unwrapped it the platinum hit bit was just a piece of paper which slid right off.

Yeah, i just about remember those. They use those as actual covers now though, and i don't like them. Neither do a lot of people on eBay, apparently. The bids for a platinum version of KH goes for about £15-25. The bids for one in the original cover are £30+. New and in original covers though... you're looking at between £55 and £85.

EDIT: ... Huh. I was going to give you the link to the one i saw for £85, but no doubt the seller had no luck selling it and took it off Amazon. Instead there are some that are £20, and i intend to buy one of those next week.
