Yeah it's diffent, xp is different compare to older version of windows but if you think about it, it's the same just more modern if you know what i mean but with vista it's totally different like the all program list, it dos'nt pop-out, it's built in where your icons would be in windows xp. and your documents seems more advanced.

Cool

I have Windows vista ultimate and i think its very good, i downloaded it with a time crack but i wont say where or how. I had to go through hell with it though
first i downloaded it in iSO format and i didnt burn it to a disk so when i rebooted it it didnt find the files and returned me to xp
then when i did it i had to copy all of my files to diferent files and install all oof my drivers again and software i was not a happy bunny:\
But i have everything up and running nowand its F*****G AWESOMe, i have to get another gig stick of ram and a new video card for Windows aero thing
What downloading software does everyone use if they do that is
I use uTorrent

I found vista to be absolutely awful.

Its like a poor attempt at a ripoff of macOS, only i don't like macOS.

The only acutal 'feature' i can think of is that alt-tab is 3d.
I use alt tab perhaps once a year.

There's directx10, but the only reason M$ wont release that for XP is they want to force people to upgrade and there's no other reason to do it.

The new security features are just great, programs run as non-admin for security.
The problem is so few software companies have released updates that let their programs work when not run as admin. So many apps are broken by default. You have to set them to run as admin and click ok every time you open them.

Nearly every issue I have had to solve for a client on a vista pc was 'my program is broken' or spending time trying to make it look like XP so they can use it.
WHY is there no option that makes it look like XP, the options they give you can get it sort of like it, but not the same. Whats with the file, edit etc dropdown menus being underneath the address bar and the whole thing being locked so you cannot change it?

It has also shown me more bugs in the acutal OS than Ive seen on an XP system. I guess they will patch these eventually but its quite poor they got through.

Everyone should use their option to return vista and get a copy of XP if they purchase a new computer. Its just plain awful.
