Camcorders

Hey Peeps!
I was wondering what kind of Camcorders you all own. I'm looking into getting a camcorder. I want the one that has the hard drive. I have no idea what to look for as far as research before I go out and buy one. Even if I do some reasearch, I don't know what the heck I'm reading. I was wondering if someone here could tell me what I should be looking for? I know I want picture quality and zoom. I like the Sony products. Anything I've ever owned by sony, I haven't had any problems so I'd rather stick with that brand name.
Are the Camcorders with the hard drives any good? How do they differ from the ones that use a disc?

I've heard that the HDD cams are quite useful.

Anyways I'm happy with my MiniDV cam, if you want one, try one of these.
