[Guide] How to put video on your PSP

Step To Step Guide on how to put Video on your PSP.

Step 1
What is PSP Movie Creator?
PSP Movie Creator can convert DVD, DivX/XviD video, AVI, WMV, MPG, MPEG, DAT(VCD), RM, RMVB, Tivo2Go, Dvr-ms, QT, MOV and more to PSP video. With the article of how to put video on PSP, you will easily put your favourite videos on PSP and enjoy movie on the going.

Download PSP Movie Creator, and install to your computer.

Step 2
1. Click "Open" button and choose a video file or DVD disc to open.

Step 3
PSP Movie Creator will automatically choose a resolution for playback on the PSP display.

Step 4
You can select what resolution you want: 320x240, 368x208, 400x192. Although, 368x208 is the best resolution for widescreen video on the PSP.

Step 5
Click the Thumbnail button "Image Icon" to save the current video frame as a thumbnail that will be shown on the PSP. This photo helps identify the video easily on the PSP.

Step 6
After the settings, simply click on the "Record it" button to convert the video.

Step 7
When the conversion finishes, click "Transfer to PSP"

Note: the PSP must be connected with a USB cable to your computer and you must have enough space on the memory stick.

Step 8
Watch the video on your PSP from Video. Enjoy, guide has been written for PSPhome.

Is this using the Free Download version, or the one for $35?

Just copied my Cars DVD onto my memory stick! Very simple, and the picture is okay considering it's a compressed file.

Regards,

I don't know if its just the screenshots, but if its choosing 320x240 as the best resolution for a widescreen movie something is wrong. This will waste bitrate by encoding the black bars at the top and bottom and isn't using as many horizontal pixels as you could (more stretching to fit the PSPs screen).

368x208 is the best resolution for widescreen video on the PSP. If things look too tall (stretched vertically) try cropping 80 pixels from either side of the video while encoding.
