Here are the highlights from
Sony's recently-concluded TGS 2008 conference. The big news here are the launch dates for some of Sony's new services as well as the new 80GB PS3 bundles.
First up is the
PlayStation Store for PSP, which is all set to launch next week, October 15. This may only be for
Japan at the time being, though, but we'll keep an eye on it.
Sony also revealed "Ad Hoc Party", the official name for their upcoming PS3/PSP service, which will launch on October 30. The first game to include this feature will be
Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G.
There's also some stuff for the PS3 owners. The eagerly-awaited
PlayStation Home will start its open beta before the year ends, while the new 80GB PS3 bundles that come with a
DualShock 3 controller will hit stores on October 30 in Japan.
