Gamers in
Japan got an eyeful of
Final Fantasy overload as
Square Enix released a new trailer for
Dissidia: Final Fantasy. The familiar cast of heroes and villains all make a comeback on this PlayStation Portable fighting game, with a lot of hardcore cinematic and in-game action to hype up the latest
Final Fantasy title.
While the new trailer doesn't explain some minor plot issues, like why Sephiroth always appears in front of a flaming backdrop or why the villains decided to band together in the first place, it does show off a lot of flashy cinematics between
our favorite Final Fantasy characters.
Here's the real kicker behind the new trailer: the end of video confirms the Japanese release date of the game by the end of the year. While there's been no word of when
Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be released in
North America, we're pretty sure it won't be very far behind.
