warranty

I am going to purchase a PSP tomorrow. Is there a difference between the warranties offered at Walmart vs. Toys R Us vs. Best Buy? Do you suggest getting a warranty?

Edit: O.K. I know this is a lame post, but I'd really appreciate anyone who has information.

The PSP has a year's warranty where ever you buy it. the warranty comes with the PSP itself, not the place you buy it from.

There is the occasional problem with the PSP so having a warranty could come in useful if something happens 6 months later. Though if you're planning on modding the PSP in any way (which i'm guessing you aren't otherwise you wouldn't be concerned about the warranty) the warranty's not so important because the second you open it up it's void. Hope that helps, and welcome to the forums.

Seriously?! The warranty always comes with the product. Some places do their own insurance on it though in case it gets lost or stolen: Argos does that here in the UK. Are you sure it's not that?

Warranty comes with the product but some places sell extra warranty to people if they want it. Usually a 3 year full service plan or something like that with the product being replaced by the store you bought it from if damaged.

remember that the guy is saying walmart, so that means he's in the US or something.
US warranty's are nowhere near a year's standard we get here in UK.
is it not 3 or 6 months in US?, whateva it is wouldnt matter where u got it, would be the same standard warranty. Wouldnt worry either, PSP's seem to be very reliable. Very well made piece of kit.

USA gets a year also, but most places like best buy. TRU, circuit city, etc.., offer 2-3 year warranties that cover even some accidental damage for $30-50
