this has probably been answered before many times but i just resistered here to get some emulators and my PSP is currently upgraded to version 3.51. Now it is impossible for me to downgrade back to version 1.5? I have the new downgrader 3.50, im not sure if the .50 to .51 makes a difference. I've been looking around for info on this but im not quite sure, im hesitating getting that Lumines UMD, as its what i would need for the downgrade?
or should i just get a new PSP unit?

Well, sony released 3.51 as a patch to the 3.50 exploit so you could no longer downgrade 3.50
You could by a new psp if you wanted to fork out the cash or
Wait until a downgrader comes out which could be tomorrow or never
Or buy a new motherboard
