Racing games recommendation

I'm looking for a racing game for the PSP. It doesn't have to be a great story, as long as the racing (handling) and the tracks are realistic and the graphics have got to be good too.
I own Juiced Eliminator, but am not really fond of it. I don't like the nitro and tuning of the apperances of the cars.
I love the GT racing games, so hope you guys have some good games in mind.

hehe, simple mistake.

My favourite racing game is burnout, it was the game I bought with the PSP, but its nothing original if you have played burnout 2 on xbox/ps2 and is a little buggy.
It crashed my virgin 1.52 psp several times. There was one particular bridge that if i did a takedown just before it the PSP would go blank then turn off. They probably rushed it out without enough testing I guess.

The original Wipeout wasn't too bad either.

But since you wanted realistic driving I guess that doesn't mean much.

The v8 supercars (whats it called in the UK? TOCA? The US versions of the series used to be called pro race driver, not sure about the PSP ones) games aren't too bad if you want realism and have many different types of cars to unlock and race.

Thanks guys... now I have 42 games (41 if we exclude the Sudoku racing game..) to choose from. Looks like the question mark above my head got a lot bigger now.
I will see if I can get my hands on the V8 Supercars from here somewhere. Only just moved to Arub and need to figure out where to buy and what to pay for these games.

Good Luck deciding on which games
I personally prefer GTA:LCS/VCS, Ridge Racer 1/2, and the Need for Speed series. I think you should definately check out those games also, while you are at it.

I was really wondering about the TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED for PSP... It says 9/10. Have you played it?? I just want to know if its worth buying.

@ glassjaw: I was waiting for someone to mention Test Drive Unlimited.
In my opinion, this is currently the best GT style racing game on PSP. I bought it the day it came out and I'm still only half way through. I'll have a review for it up by Friday, so you might be interested in reading that. Will have probably then convinced you to get it on the weekend! Lol.


@ Charlie 1003: If you've read what I just said above, then I think that's the best game to fit the criteria you've made. However, I would also look at Formula One 06, WRC and Need For Speed Carbon too.

i just had fomular 1 06 and it is fab i borrowed it from dvd rental and i`, going to buy it
you have to set a a carear up buy taking a time trial to be accepted and the you race for them , you race a full season and you have fri sat and race day
you have to set the car up ie the tyres and fuel the downforce the camber and other things trust me its great
