The general way to switch disks in POPS:

Make sure you create both (all) EBOOT.PBPs with the same Sony game code (the thing like SCUS12345). That is vital... they must all match!

Play game up to where you need to switch and save the game. If the game doesn't have the ability to save at this point, you're screwed.

Run the EBOOT for the next disk, then load the save game. This is why the EBOOTs all had to have the same code... if they don't, you wouldn't be able to load the save file made with the previous disk.

There is ONE way to get past the swap point with a game that only saves at certain places: play the game on a PSX emu for the PC until you get to a save point past the swap, save the game, then transfer the game save to the PSP.

Because of this issue, you'll find game saves for later discs posted on various forums so that people can use someone else's save to get to the next disc.
