FF7 on PSP

I recently put ff7 on my psp, and I'm having some problems,
the save ID's are the same for all disks and what not, but I get to a certain part of the game [3D Space Hologram in Cosmo Canyon for ff7 players] and during the cg scene, it just freezes, anyone know what causes this, or how to fix it? I have re made the eboots multiple times, and it just keeps doing it...

I have some questions...

1. How do you get FF7 on your PSP?
2. What is the highest firmware it works on?
3. How much space do all 3 discs take?

If I had it I could check it out...but I don't so I can't.

1) By getting your PS1 game, copying the contents to your PC, running them through a program called popstation to convert them then copying the output to your memory stick.

2) You can only do this if your PSP is running one of dark_alex's custom firmwares as it is only possible due to the fact he hacked the official PS1 emulator in the firmware.

You need to be able to downgrade to firmware 1.5 to install the custom firmware, and the highest firmware that can be downgraded atm is 3.03.

3) Quite big, I dont know for FF7 in particular but anywhere up to 600mb per disc. There is compression and many games didnt take up the whole cd so they would be smaller.

2. you can upgrade to 3.03 OE_C or 3.10 OE_A custome firmwere made by dark alex

3. its 2 gg all of the 3 disks take... no need to put them all on mem card... you can put disk 1 and play it till it require disk 2 to continues...

lol "I have a question some questions."

Would it be easier to use popstation or use files that people send me? I have FF7 I just don't know much about popstation.

It would be quicker just to run it through popstation unless you have a very fast net connection.

I guess its up to you.
