| Rep points? I was just wondering if we should have rep points on this site? We all like to feel rewarded when we've done something good, so if someone's done a particularly good post, or written a good article or tutorial, we could give them rep for it. And if someone's made a bad comments, (not that any of us here would ever consider doing that! ) then we can give them negative rep points for their post.
What do you think guys? |

| I think it's a great idea. Maybe we can even have certain competitions when members reach a certain level of points they win a prize for all their work... It's a good idea to implement into the forum.

agreed, good idea. What I had on another site was a thanks system. You thanks people if they helped you. Take a look at this page ccna intro - MCSE World Thanked 12 times in 10 posts. What do u think? |

This thread is a discussion for a new element to the forum. We all like to feel rewarded when we've done something good, so if someone's done a particularly good post, or written a good article or tutorial, we could give them rep for it. Quote: |

It's just an example of a similar system to the rep points. Either one is fine by me: i don't mind, but i'd like to see which you'd all prefer before we decide which one we should implement. |

| I think it's quite similar: it looks like it's just the same as giving rep, but instead you give thanks instead. I'm just not 100% sure what the 'thanked x times in x posts' bit means. |

| Hahaha, we need smartness like on Garry's mod forums.
Every time you make a mistake in your spelling your smartness goes down a certain amount depending on how bad the mistake is (usually 10) and if you edit your post and fix it it deducts only 1 point. Whenever you make a post without any mistakes your smartness goes up by 1. When your smartness goes down too much you are automaticly BANNED! Harsh, but very fun. |
