I don't know of any hacks for it, or homebrew to get around it.
One of the reasons why i have an American PSP is because there's a wider range of UMD films available. But you can get Pulp Fiction on UK and Japanese UMD's. Cheack around on play.com or eBay: they'll have it for a decent price.
