| Swiss Heritage Hi! I'm 60 years old, married with two grown children. For the last six years I've worked on the grounds of a state park, cutting grass, planting, raking leaves, etc. Most of my life before that I worked in computer programming and help desk.
My wife teaches Kindergarten. We have a daughter who is married, with two children, and lives in Quebec, and a son who lives in China.
Some of my current interests are promoting the moral and spiritual education of children, spreading the knowledge and love of God, and working with the Free Software Foundation.
How I landed in this forum:
My wife just got a PSP, and we fell for one of the download frauds promoted by Adserve. She had seen one of the Yahoo or Google ads for them, while she was searching for downloads. Before we paid, I did a Yahoo search for some independent reviews and articles, and thought I found some. Now I know that the reviews and articles I found were all part of the affiliate marketing network promoting the fraud.
I didn't think there was any hope of getting a refund, but it turned out to be easy. The payment was to ClickBank, and ClickBank refunds automatically, with no questions asked, up to 60 days after the payment.
Since then I've been exploring how I can help people get refunds, and stop the ads on search engines. I've posted articles about how to get a refund, in forums where I've seen people asking about it. I've written to Google and Yahoo, explaining how the frauds work, and how to spot them.
What I would like to do now is try to persuade the administrators of PSP-related Web sites that display Adserve ads, to post warnings about the frauds on their welcome pages. |
